Chinese travel trade representatives explore Azerbaijan’s culture and tourism

Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) successfully hosted a familiarization trip for representatives of 19 leading travel companies from the People’s Republic of China from 20 to 26 October 2025. The program was organized to strengthen business connections and give Chinese travel trade professionals first-hand experience of Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offerings.

During the trip, participants visited Baku’s UNESCO heritage sites and explored several regions of Azerbaijan, including Shamakhi, Gabala, Shaki, and Gakh. They experienced local culture, historical sites, and leisure activities across the country, gaining a deeper understanding of what Azerbaijan has to offer to international travelers.

As part of the program, a B2B workshop held on 24 October brought together the FAM trip participants and key representatives from Azerbaijan’s tourism industry. The session provided an opportunity for discussions, sharing insights, and building new business partnerships between Chinese and Azerbaijani travel trade professionals.
