Seoul, South Korea – November 25, 2024 – Azerbaijan Tourism Board hosted a networking dinner and destination showcase in Seoul. The event brought together over 60 distinguished representatives from South Korea’s media, tourism industry, and influencer community to explore Azerbaijan’s diverse travel offerings and foster meaningful connections.

To demonstrate Azerbaijan's tourism offerings, Azerbaijan Tourism Board, together with local tourism partners, is represented at the “Tashkent International Tourism Fair” (TITF) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, dedicated to the theme "Tourism on the Silk Road".

A panel discussion titled "Slow Food, Low Impact: Advancing Sustainable Tourism with Local Agroproducts" took place at COP29, emphasizing the synergy between agriculture and tourism to promote sustainable development.

Baku, November 20, 2024 – The inaugural Tourism Day at COP29 underscores tourism’s transformative role in combating climate change. Hosted by the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan in partnership with the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the event highlighted tourism’s contribution to global climate goals through innovation and collaboration.

Baku, Azerbaijan | November 18, 2024 – For the first time in the history of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP), "Climate Action in Tourism" has been included in the official COP Action Agenda under the Presidency of Azerbaijan. This groundbreaking inclusion highlights the sector's crucial role in supporting global climate goals.

From November 11–14, Azerbaijan Tourism Board participated in its first official engagement with the Nordic tourism market at the "Nordic Roadshow," a premier event connecting global destinations with the region’s tourism market, organized by Aviareps. The event took place across four capital cities in the region—Stockholm, Helsinki, Oslo, and Copenhagen - and was designed to encourage new business connections whilst promoting a tourism destination’s offerings.
