Azerbaijan Tourism Board is participating in the Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) 2025, held at the Expo Centre Karachi from January 31 to February 2, followed by the PTM Roadshow in Islamabad from February 4th to 5th. Additionally, Azerbaijan is taking part in the Sustainable Tourism Forum organized by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD). These engagements strengthen Azerbaijan’s presence in the Pakistani market, showcasing its rich cultural heritage, diverse tourism offerings, and seamless accessibility as a travel destination.
At Pakistan Travel Mart, ATB is joined by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and six key co-exhibitors, showcasing the country’s UNESCO-listed heritage, stunning landscapes, and modern attractions. Visitors to the “Experience Azerbaijan” stand can explore iconic sites such as Baku’s Old City, Gobustan Rock Art, Sheki’s Historic Centre, and the newly inscribed Khinalig village and Köç Yolu Transhumance Route. With diverse travel experiences ranging from skiing in the Caucasus and luxury wellness retreats to cultural heritage, Azerbaijan continues to position itself as a premium and family-friendly destination. Additionally at the PTM, Florian Sengstschmid, the CEO of Azerbaijan Tourism Board participated at the panel session titled "Redefining Destinations: Sustainable Tourism for a Resilient Future".
Within a visit to Pakistan, ATB also participated in the Sustainable Tourism Forum organized by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), a body of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Mr. Sengstschmid contributed to the event as a speaker at a CEO’s Insights: Sustainable Tourism Destinations - Opportunities for the Private Sector “CEO’s insights: Sustainable Tourism Destination - Opportunities for the private sector” panel discussion, talking about sustainable tourism development and Azerbaijan's strategic initiatives in the sector.
For Pakistani travelers, Azerbaijan is easily accessible with direct flights to Baku from Islamabad and Lahore, operated by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL). Additionally, flights to Karachi are expected to resume in May 2025. Additionally, Pakistani citizens can apply for an e-VISA via evisa.gov.az just three days before travel or opt for an urgent visa processed within 3 to 5 hours, ensuring a seamless journey.
