In collaboration with UN Tourism, COP29 will serve as a pivotal moment to establish a robust dialogue aimed at enhancing climate action in tourism. This effort, supporting national climate goals, will be marked by the inaugural Tourism Thematic Day on 20 November.
Tourism Day will feature a high-level meeting and the launch of the COP29 Baku Declaration on Enhanced Action in Tourism.
Further to the Declaration, Tourism Day will serve as a platform for deep-dive discussions on implementation of harmonized and science-based GHG emissions measurement in tourism that remains a significant challenge and represents a barrier for accelerated decarbonization.
Tourism stakeholders will also be given a platform for thorough examination of ecosystem resilience, regeneration and financial strategies, thereby fostering a comprehensive and informed discourse on the role of tourism in addressing climate change.
We are pleased to welcome you as our esteemed guest at the "Tourism Day" event on November 20th, held at Baku Olympic Stadium as part of the COP29 program, and look forward to your valuable contribution.
