COP29 in Azerbaijan

The major climate conference gathering leaders, experts, and activists to collaborate on alternative solutions will take place in Baku, in November 11-22

Azerbaijan will present initiatives aiming for a 40% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050 through renewable energy projects and sustainable agriculture.

The Conference of the Parties (COP) is an annual UN event where countries unite to assess progress and set climate goals. It's vital for global cooperation on environmental issues. 

COP29 will be hosted at Baku Stadium, one of the region’s largest, featuring modern technology like energy-efficient lighting. The stadium will include the Blue Zone for official sessions and the Green Zone for cultural exhibitions and workshops. Accessible from the city center via metro, buses, and cars, the venue is designed to support sustainable practices.

Alongside formal negotiations, there will be public events, tours, and interactive exhibits showcasing Azerbaijan’s tourism achievements. Engage in discussions about relevant finance, innovation, and local initiatives focused on climate resilience.
