The Representative Office of Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) in Türkiye, together with Absheron Hotel Group (AHG), brought Azerbaijan’s year-round tourism offering closer to the Turkish travel industry through a series of seminars held in Trabzon, Gaziantep, Bursa and Konya from 5-8 October
Around 250 representatives from Türkiye’s travel trade and media attended the events, discovering a destination shaped by diverse landscapes, stretching from the Caspian coast to the Greater Caucasus, rich cultural heritage and experiences that change with the seasons. From mountain retreats and outdoor adventures to city breaks and cultural journeys, the seminars showcased the many ways travellers can experience Azerbaijan throughout the year.
Winter tourism was a key part of the programme, highlighting Azerbaijan’s growing appeal for snow, mountain and seasonal travel, from the slopes of Shahdag and Tufandag to the country's role as Global Destination Partner of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). Shusha, Azerbaijan's cultural capital, also took centre stage, presented through its distinctive historical and spiritual character as well as its potential for meetings, incentives, conferences and events.
Alongside the destination presentations, open B2B networking sessions created opportunities for industry professionals to meet, exchange ideas and explore future partnerships in an informal setting, strengthening connections between tourism stakeholders from Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
Tourism figures also reflect growing interest in Azerbaijan among travellers from Türkiye. Between January and September 2026, Azerbaijan welcomed 355,045 visitors from Türkiye, marking a 6.4% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
The seminar series forms part of ATB’s continued work in the Turkish market to bring more of Azerbaijan’s tourism story to travel professionals, build stronger industry ties and inspire greater interest in a destination that offers something different in every season.
