Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) participated in the AVIAREPS Around the World Roadshow - Austria 2026, held in Vienna on October 1, presenting Azerbaijan as a destination where cultural heritage, Silk Road experiences, city breaks and outdoor adventures come together.
Azerbaijan Tourism Board showcased Azerbaijan’s year-round tourism appeal to around 40 travel agents and tour operators. The presentation highlighted Baku’s vibrant city life, Shaki’s historic charm and Silk Road heritage, alongside hiking and winter sports experiences across the country.
ATB also held one-on-one meetings with leading travel agents to discuss potential cooperation and identify new opportunities to promote Azerbaijan among Austrian travellers.
Direct flights between Vienna and Baku, operated by Azerbaijan Airlines, bring Azerbaijan’s diverse travel experiences within easier reach of Austrian visitors. Travelers can plan their visit by applying for an e-VISA through evisa.gov.az at least 3 working days before arrival or choose the urgent service for processing within 3 hours. Valid for 90 days, the visa allows a stay of up to 30 days.
This connectivity complements growing interest from the Austrian market, with visitor numbers rising by 5% between January and August 2026 compared with the same period in 2025, reflecting Azerbaijan’s increasing appeal as a travel destination.
