Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) organised a familiarisation trip to Khizi and Shabran on 24-25 September, bringing together 50 representatives of the local tourism industry to discover the destinations’ tourism potential, local hospitality and diverse experiences.
The two-day programme provided participants with an opportunity to explore the distinctive character of Khizi and Shabran, from their natural landscapes and cultural heritage to local tourism facilities and experiences. The trip highlighted the diversity of tourism offerings available across the destinations and their potential to attract visitors seeking nature, culture, local traditions and authentic experiences.
Participants visited a range of tourism facilities and attractions, gaining first-hand insights into the destinations’ accommodation, hospitality and tourism products. The programme also offered an opportunity to experience local traditions and explore the unique character of the regions, while discovering new places and activities that can be incorporated into travel itineraries.
The familiarisation trip brought together representatives of different segments of the local tourism industry, creating a platform to exchange ideas, identify opportunities for cooperation and explore the development of new tourism products and experiences in Khizi and Shabran.
As part of its ongoing efforts to support the development and promotion of destinations across Azerbaijan, ATB will continue organising familiarisation trips for local tourism industry representatives, helping industry stakeholders discover emerging opportunities and develop new experiences for domestic and international visitors.
