Azerbaijan’s tourism potential promoted among Chinese tourism companies

The Office of Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) in Beijing organised a familiarisation trip to Azerbaijan for representatives of 17 Chinese tourism companies from 7 to 11 September. The programme covered the route through Baku, Ganja, Goygol and Lankaran, focusing on the country's tourism potential, infrastructure and products.

Participants were introduced to Azerbaijan's historical and cultural heritage, health and wellness tourism, ecotourism and other tourism segments. The programme also included hotel inspections, giving them a first-hand look at accommodation facilities and services.

A dedicated B2B event was also organised as part of the trip, bringing together representatives of the participating Chinese companies and around 70 local tourism companies. The meetings provided an opportunity to establish new business contacts and explore potential partnerships between the two markets.
