Familiarisation trip for local tourism industry representatives organised to Garabagh and East Zangezur

Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) organised a familiarisation trip to Garabagh and East Zangezur on 24-25 August, bringing together 50 representatives of the local tourism industry. The two-day programme took participants to the cities of Khankendi, Shusha and Lachin, showcasing the regions’ tourism potential.

The trip was designed to highlight the regions’ cultural and historical heritage, natural attractions and diverse tourism offerings to local tourism industry representatives.

Built around an experience-based concept, the programme enabled participants to visit local tourism facilities, experience the destinations’ hospitality traditions and discover a variety of tourism experiences.

The familiarisation trip provided participants to gain first-hand insight into the regions’ tourism offerings and identify potential opportunities for future cooperation, with additional familiarisation trips for local tourism industry representatives planned across Azerbaijan.
