Azerbaijan was represented with a national stand at the First International Forum for Creative Handicrafts, held from 22-26 January 2026 in Muscat, Oman.
State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (STA), together with Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) and the Reserve Management Center presented Azerbaijan’s rich cultural and creative heritage in the forum.
As part of the event, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Sultanate of Oman, Rashad Ismayilov, together with Sayyid Ibrahim bin Saeed Al Busaidi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism of the Sultanate of Oman, and Halima bint Rashid Al Zaria, Chairperson of the SME Development Authority of Oman, visited the national stand.
During the visit, the guests familiarized themselves with examples of Azerbaijan’s rich cultural and artistic heritage, including traditional handicrafts from Shaki, such as shebeke, embroidery, and felt crafts, created by Azerbaijani artists.
The forum brought together institutions and enterprises operating in the fields of creativity and handicraft industries from all around the world, providing a platform for cultural exchange and international cooperation.
