Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) took part in the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2025) held on 22-23 September in Baku, which brought together national and international stakeholders to explore investment opportunities in health and wellness tourism. ATB also featured a national stand themed “Tourism Investment Zone,” promoting investment opportunities and the country’s long-term vision for the health and wellness tourism sector.
During the forum, ATB signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Nardaran Invest MMC, marking a major step toward utilizing the Sea Breeze Health Valley project. The agreement, which emphasizes knowledge sharing, joint participation in events and stronger public-private collaboration, was signed by Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of Azerbaijan Tourism Board, and Konstantin Grinfeld, Managing Director of Sea Breeze Health Valley.
Furthermore, Florian Sengstschmid took part in the panel discussion, stressing that health and wellness is a major focus for ATB and a core pillar of its “Azerbaijan: Take Another Look” destination brand, which has been actively developing since its establishment in 2018. He underlined the importance of initiatives that bring the private sector closer to public efforts, complement national projects in health and wellness tourism, and support ongoing work to advance standards across the sector. Additionally, speaking at the forum, Rashad Aliyev, Deputy CEO of ATB delivered a presentation on growth in tourism and significant investment in the hospitality sector, as well as a strategic approach to position Azerbaijan as a premium and year-round destination.
