On September 9, 2025, Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) organized a press conference and networking dinner in Seoul, bringing together more than 80 participants from the Republic of Korea’s media and tourism industry.
The reception welcomed representatives from media, travel agencies, hotels, as well as major international airlines including Korean Air, Flydubai, and Qatar Airways. This initiative provided an opportunity for local travel agencies to meet directly with Korean stakeholders and discuss potential cooperation. A press conference gathered up to 22 representatives from prominent media outlets to provide the latest updates on Azerbaijan’s tourism landscape.
“Looking ahead, we see opportunities for more cooperation across tourism and media sectors. By continuing to work side by side, we can strengthen Azerbaijan’s presence in South Korea and offer travelers the chance to “Take Another Look” at a destination where East meets West, tradition meets modernity, and every journey leaves a lasting impression,” remarked Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of ATB, during his opening speech.
The event was honored by the presence of H.E. Mr. Ramin Hasanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Korea, alongside members of the embassy, who met with the Azerbaijani delegation.
The evening continued with a B2B session, where Korean travel agencies met one-on-one with Azerbaijani DMCs, hotels, and airlines to discuss tourism products and potential cooperation. It was an opportunity to build partnerships and outline the next chapter of collaboration between Azerbaijan and Republic of Korea.
