Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), in collaboration with China’s i2i Group, will host a B2B workshop and a familiarization trip as part of the China Visitor Summit (CVS) Baku 2025 from November 16 to 21, 2025. This initiative aims to strengthen tourism ties between Azerbaijan and China, while showcasing the country’s diverse tourism offerings to leading Chinese travel professionals.
The B2B workshop, a core part of the summit, will take place on November 17, bringing together 50 leading Chinese tour operators and local players including hotels, DMCs, and MICE agencies. The program will feature business sessions, partner presentations, and a press conference. The event is made possible with the support of several hospitality partners, including Absheron Hotel Group, The Ritz-Carlton, Baku, ULU Hospitality Group, and Gabala Hospitality Group.
Launched in 2008 by i2i Group, CVS was created to connect Chinese outbound travel buyers with international travel suppliers via efficient, face‑to‑face business matchmaking. With over 36 successful editions held worldwide, its debut in Baku aims to boost Azerbaijan’s visibility in the Chinese travel market by fostering direct connections between tourism stakeholders of both countries and encouraging a rise in leisure and business travel from China.
Following the workshop, the summit will continue with a familiarization trip exploring the north-western route of Azerbaijan. The itinerary will feature several of Azerbaijan’s most captivating destinations. Participants will explore the ski facilities at Tufandag Mountain Resort in Gabala and the scenic landscapes of Gakh. The program will also include a visit to the historic center of Sheki, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its cultural richness and architectural heritage.
