Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) is participating in Ferien-Messe Wien 2025, Austria’s leading travel and tourism fair, held from January 16 to 19 in Vienna. The event brings together leading industry experts from across the world, providing a dynamic platform for Azerbaijan to showcase its unique tourism offerings.
Ferien-Messe Wien serves as a vital marketplace for the tourism industry, seamlessly blending B2B and B2C interactions. Together with strategic partners, including Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), Azerbaijan Tourism Board leveraged this opportunity to strengthen its presence in Austria and the DACH region, build strategic partnerships, and solidify Azerbaijan’s position as a must-visit destination in 2025. Highlighting the significance of the exhibition, Rovshan Sadigbayli, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Austria, also visited the stand.
Visitors to the Azerbaijan booth have a chance to immerse themselves in Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, diverse travel experiences, and UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as the Old City of Baku, Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape, Sheki Historic Centre, and the newly inscribed Khinalig village and ‘Köç Yolu’ Transhumance Route. From the historic streets of Baku to the serene Caspian shores and the majestic Caucasus Mountains, Azerbaijan’s tourism potential was on full display. Visitors also enjoyed tastings of traditional Azerbaijani sweets, adding a flavorful dimension to their cultural exploration.
The booth featured captivating LED screen displays showcasing Azerbaijan’s wild nature, alongside cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) experiences, allowing visitors to "visit" key landmarks like the Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape and the serene Khinalig village virtually.
Travel to Azerbaijan has also been made increasingly accessible for Austrian travelers, with direct flights from Vienna to Baku by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL). The simplified e-visa process at evisa.gov.az allows for standard visas in three working days or urgent visas in just three hours, making it easier than ever to explore Azerbaijan's offerings.
