Azerbaijan Showcases Its Tourism Gems in Uzbekistan

To demonstrate Azerbaijan's tourism offerings, Azerbaijan Tourism Board, together with local tourism partners, is represented at the “Tashkent International Tourism Fair” (TITF) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, dedicated to the theme "Tourism on the Silk Road".

Destination is represented at the national stand by "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC (AZAL), Shahdag Tourism Center, and a total of 9 local tourism industry partners.

Visitors to the exhibition are provided with detailed information about Azerbaijan's historical and cultural heritage, national cuisine, mountain ski resorts, winemaking, health and winter tourism opportunities, and B2B meetings are held with representatives of the foreign tourism industry.

Additionally, an event was organized within the framework of the exhibition with the participation of representatives of the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts, of which Shahdag Tourism Center is also a member. The event highlighted the work and innovations carried out by the Alliance during the year to increase cooperation with member states. In addition, the Alliance members and event participants were provided with detailed information about the winter tourism opportunities of the complex, new projects, and planned international competitions by representatives of the Shahdag Tourism Center. During the event, the organization of the next Eurasian Mountain Resorts Festival was transferred to the Shahdag Tourism Center, and it was decided to hold the event in March 2025.

It should be noted that during the January-October period of 2024, the number of people visiting Azerbaijan from Uzbekistan amounted to 37,536, which is a 19% increase compared to the same period last year.
