Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) participated in the "Ahlan Arabia" roadshow organized by Dnata agency from June 11-14 in the Gulf region. The events were held in Kuwait on June 11th, in Doha on June 12th, and in Dubai on June 13-14th.
Approximately 70 B2B and B2C meetings have been conducted during these events. These meetings, aimed at establishing and expanding bilateral relations, provided local tourism companies with information about Azerbaijan's tourism opportunities, including attractions in Baku and other regions, as well as offerings for both summer and winter seasons.
A large number of roadshow participants expressed interest in Azerbaijan's tourism offerings, particularly in wellness resorts, glamping, hiking, and rich gastronomy, and received comprehensive information about these attractions.
In recent years, Azerbaijan has emerged as a highly sought-after travel destination for travellers from Gulf coutnires, in part due to its convenient direct flights, easy visa procedures upon arrival, and reputation as a dynamic cultural and business hub. It is noteworthy that 64,138 tourists from Gulf countries visited Azerbaijan between January and May 2024, marking an increase of over 44% compared to the previous year.
