Azerbaijan is represented by the State Tourism Agency (STA) and Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) at the ongoing Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Annual Summit 2025, taking place in Istanbul, Türkiye from April 21–23. The country is represented by Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of Azerbaijan Tourism Board, and Gunay Bayramova, Deputy director of the TPS department, Acting Director at the State Tourism Agency.

Azerbaijan Tourism Board organized a series of business-to-business meetings across three regions of Russia from April 9 to 11, 2025 aiming to deepen partnerships and promote Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offerings.

A strategic meeting has been held in Gakh on April 11 to initiate the district’s Tourism Development Plan. The initiative, discussed during the meeting, was led by the State Tourism Agency and Azerbaijan Tourism Board, with the support of the Executive Power of the Gakh District.

In a significant step toward regional tourism development, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan signed a strategic cooperation agreement on April 4th in Samarkand, aiming to boost joint initiatives along the historic Silk Road. The agreement outlines collaborative efforts to increase both countries’ visibility in global tourism markets and develop shared tourism products.

On April 3, 2025, a roundtable discussion titled “Tourism: Asia” was held at the editorial office of Komsomolskaya Pravda in Moscow, with the support of the Roscongress Foundation. The event focused on emerging tourism trends across the Asia-Pacific region and the growing interest of Russian travelers in destinations across Asia, including Azerbaijan.

From March 4-6, 2025, in Berlin, the flavors of fragrant Azerbaijani tea and the elegance of locally crafted wines welcomed visitors at ITB Berlin 2025, offering a unique blend of tradition and modernity. Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), along with AZAL and 10 key industry partners, showcased the country’s tourism potential at one of the world’s leading travel trade exhibitions.
