Baku will bring together leading travel buyers from across Asia and Azerbaijan’s tourism industry on 29 October, as PATA Hosted Buyers Summit Baku 2026 connects 50 travel professionals from key Asian markets with local tourism businesses. Organised by the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan together with Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) and Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the summit will provide participants from China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan and South Korea with an opportunity to discover Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offering and explore its potential for their markets.
As the premier travel and tourism industry association in the Asia-Pacific region, PATA will help connect international travel demand with Azerbaijan’s tourism industry. The summit will feature B2B meetings between visiting buyers and local tourism representatives, creating opportunities to establish new business relationships and develop Azerbaijan-focused travel products.
The summit will be supported by a wider familiarisation programme taking place from 24 to 30 October. Participants will travel through Baku, Shamakhi, Gabala, Shaki and Gakh, experiencing the country’s cultural heritage, natural landscapes, hospitality and tourism infrastructure firsthand.
The programme will showcase the breadth of experiences available across Azerbaijan, from Silk Road and cultural journeys to mountain and nature experiences, MICE travel, Umrah Plus extension programmes and tailored itineraries. It will also highlight opportunities to include Azerbaijan in multi-country Caucasus travel programmes.
For Azerbaijan’s tourism industry, the summit will provide direct access to travel professionals who can introduce the destination to new audiences and shape future travel products. By bringing leading buyers to Azerbaijan and connecting them with local businesses, PATA Hosted Buyers Summit Baku 2026 will support stronger links with Asian travel markets and create opportunities for new visitor flows to the country.
