From 21-25 July, Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) organized a familiarization trip to Azerbaijan for representatives of 10 tourism companies from Kazakhstan and 9 tourism companies from Uzbekistan.
As part of the program, participants took part in hotel site inspections and explored Azerbaijan’s tourism infrastructure, hospitality services, beach tourism opportunities along the Caspian coast, as well as the country’s rich cultural heritage and gastronomy.
The participants also visited some of Baku’s key tourism attractions and attended the DreamFest music festival, one of the events featured in Azerbaijan’s international events calendar, gaining first-hand insight into the country’s event tourism offerings.
Within the framework of the visit, a B2B networking event was organized, bringing together tourism industry representatives from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan with nearly 80 local destination management companies (DMCs) and hotels. The meetings served as an important platform for discussing new cooperation opportunities, establishing business connections, and expanding partnership prospects.
The initiative, which fostered direct business engagement between tourism industry representatives, contributed to strengthening tourism cooperation and developing long-term partnerships between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
