A familiarization trip, organized by Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) from September 5–10, 2025, brought 10 leading travel agencies from Israel to Azerbaijan. The visit aims to present Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offerings and deepen cooperation with the travel industry partners from Israel.
As part of the program, a B2B event took place on September 9th, with around 60 local tourism companies participating, providing a platform for networking, partnership building, and expanding business opportunities between Azerbaijani and Israeli stakeholders.
In addition to the B2B event, participants visited Baku, Shamakhi and Gabala, following a program that included hotel inspections, a golf master class, visit to Tufandag Mountain Resort, and tours of cultural and historical landmarks.
Israel has become one of Azerbaijan’s fastest-growing outbound markets in recent years, with a significant rise in visitor numbers. In 2024, 28,955 citizens of Israel visited Azerbaijan, while in the first half of 2025 alone, the country welcomed 23,534 visitors from Israel, almost double compared to the same period in 2024.
To further promote the destination, ATB has actively participated in major events across Israel in 2025, including promotional roadshows in Haifa and Tel Aviv, the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM) in Tel Aviv, and Tel Aviv EAT, highlighting Azerbaijan’s culinary and cultural richness.
Direct flights, including daily services by Azerbaijan Airlines and additional flights by Israir Airlines, foster this tourism growth. ATB’s representation office in Tel Aviv further underlines the country’s long-term commitment to deepening tourism ties with Israel.
