On June 24, 2025, Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) and Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) signed a strategic partnership agreement to enhance cooperation across several key areas. The agreement includes joined efforts in improvement of tourism accessibility and infrastructure, product and experience development, as well as overall industry standards.
This collaboration is an important step in Azerbaijan’s efforts to deepen and expand the role of sustainable mobility within its national tourism development strategy. By leveraging the country’s growing rail network, the partnership aims to advance regional connectivity, open access to lesser-known destinations, and offer tourists a more seamless and environmentally conscious travel experience.
Under the agreement, information points will be established at key railway stations to provide visitors with access to tourism-related content and guidance. Efforts will also be made to optimize train schedules for regional tourism flows and simplify group ticket purchases, ensuring a smooth and user-friendly journey planning process.
By aligning infrastructure and tourism strategies, this partnership supports inclusive and sustainable growth, helping travelers explore more of Azerbaijan with ease, comfort, and reduced environmental impact.
