As demand for premium travel experiences continues to rise across Central Asia, Azerbaijan has successfully made a lasting impression at the Luxury Travel Mart (LTM) Spring Edition 2025, which took place on February 18 in Baku, February 21 in Tashkent, and February 24 in Almaty. This premier B2B gathering brought together top-tier travel professionals, fostering new collaborations and further strengthening Azerbaijan’s position as a key player in the region’s luxury tourism sector.
At each event, Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) engaged with 25 leading tour operators and travel agencies, including representatives from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. These discussions highlighted the country’s dynamic tourism offerings, from world-class ski resorts and bespoke wellness retreats to immersive cultural experiences and a growing business events sector.
With an exciting lineup of festivals and luxury travel experiences on the horizon, Azerbaijan continues to refine its appeal for high-end travelers. This momentum was reflected in the notable rise in visitor numbers from Central Asia. In 2024, Azerbaijan welcomed 86,304 travelers from Kazakhstan, marking a 48.6% increase from the previous year, while arrivals from Uzbekistan reached 46,396, rising 17% year over year.
This upward trend has been supported by enhanced air connectivity, with direct flights linking Baku to Almaty, Astana, Aktau, Bishkek, Dushanbe and Tashkent, operated by AZAL, Air Astana, FlyArystan, and Uzbekistan Airways.
With seamless access, a refined luxury offering, and commitment to exceptional hospitality, Azerbaijan continues to evolve as a sought-after destination for discerning travelers. LTM proved to be a vital platform for forging valuable partnerships, ensuring the country’s tourism sector remains on an upward trajectory.
