Showcasing its diverse travel offerings and commitment to the South Asian market, Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), alongside Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and 24 esteemed co-exhibitors, made a strong impact at SATTE 2025, South Asia’s premier travel and tourism exhibition. Held in New Delhi from February 19-21, 2025, the event provided an invaluable platform for expanding business collaborations, engaging with industry leaders, and positioning Azerbaijan as a top destination for Indian travelers.
With an impressive global participation from 50 countries, 28 state tourism boards, and over 2,000 exhibitors, SATTE 2025 provided an unparalleled opportunity for Azerbaijan to showcase its expanding tourism landscape. Elchin Huseynli, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to India, visited the “Experience Azerbaijan” stand, reaffirming the robust diplomatic and tourism ties between the two nations.
Visitors to the Azerbaijan stand were immersed in the country’s rich cultural heritage through an authentic hospitality experience. Guests savored traditional shekerbura, pakhlava, and aromatic Azerbaijani tea, offering a taste of the nation's deep-rooted culinary traditions. These elements underscored Azerbaijan’s ability to seamlessly blend historical charm, adventure, and modern luxury- a combination that resonates strongly with Indian travelers.
Azerbaijan’s growing popularity among Indian travelers is backed by enhanced air connectivity, with 14 weekly direct flights operated by Azerbaijan Airlines and IndiGo, linking Delhi and Mumbai to Baku. To further simplify travel, Indian visitors can obtain an e-VISA within three days, with expedited processing available in as little as 3-5 hours, ensuring a hassle-free journey.
