From October 27 to 31, 2024, Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) organized a familiarization trip for representatives from 12 prominent Polish tourism agencies. The tour featured B2B meetings with approximately 30 Azerbaijani companies, facilitating potential partnerships and collaborations between Polish and Azerbaijani tourism stakeholders. These interactions underscore ATB’s commitment to expanding international connections and promoting Azerbaijan as a premier tourism destination in the region.
In addition to the business meetings, the tour highlighted Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage and thriving winter sports tourism offerings. A key experience was a visit to Shahdag Mountain Resort, the country’s leading destination for winter sports and recreation. Here, the Polish representatives explored modern ski facilities and assessed Shahdag’s potential as a prime choice for Polish travelers seeking winter sport experiences. The familiarization trip provided the industry leaders with a deeper understanding of Azerbaijan’s diverse appeal for tourists interested in both cultural exploration and adventure travel.
The demand from Polish travellers is facilitated by the e-visa, available at evisa.gov.az within 3 days, and the availability of non-stop flights, allowing travellers to reach the largest city in the Caucasus region in approximately 4 hours. Direct flights from Warsaw are available through LOT Airlines, operating 4 times a week.
