Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) is pleased to announce its participation in the International Mediterranean Tourism Market (IMTM) exhibition, taking place from 3rd to 4th of April in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Alongside representatives from 6 local tourism and hospitality industry entities, including Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and Shahdag Tourism Centre, ATB aims to spotlight Azerbaijan's diverse tourism offerings and cultural heritage to a global audience. Highlighting the significance of the exhibition, Mukhtar Mammadov, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Israel, also visited the stand.
Exhibition guests will have the opportunity to explore Azerbaijan's vibrant history, cultural traditions, gastronomical experiences, and various tourism attractions, including UNESCO sites, mountain-ski centers, and vineyards among many others. Additionally, visitors can learn about Azerbaijan's ancient Jewish heritage, which demonstrates a unique dimension of the country's cultural landscape.
As part of the exhibition, ATB will facilitate meetings with representatives from Israel and other participating countries, as well as conduct interviews with media representatives to further promote Azerbaijan's tourism initiatives and partnerships on this international platform.
Attendees can also indulge in degustation experiences of traditional sweets and local wines, directly engaging with the tastes of Azerbaijan's culinary delights.
With 23,903 Israeli citizens having visited Azerbaijan in 2023 and considering the robust flight schedule between Baku and Tel Aviv this year, a further surge in visitor numbers is anticipated.
