Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) is participating in the Tourism Expo Japan in 2023, which is scheduled to take place from 26th to 29th of October, 2023 in Osaka, Japan. Attendees can also explore MICE opportunities and learn about traditional cuisine and exquisite Azerbaijani wines.
Guests visiting the stand have the opportunity to meet with representatives from ATB and industry partners, such as Gerso Travel, Asia Travel and ENC Tours. This provides an opportunity to learn more about the destination and explore collaboration opportunities. It’s worth noting that organizations like the Osaka Tourism Board, Japan Association of Travel Agents, and prominent Japanese tourism agencies JTB and H.I.S, have also expressed interest in fostering mutual tourism growth, meeting with ATB representatives to ensure exchange of ideas and opportunities. Highlighting the significant of the event, Gursel Ismayilzada, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Japan, also visited the stand, showcasing the strong bilateral ties between the two countries.
In recent years, Azerbaijan has emerged as a highly sought-after travel destination for tourists from Asia, in part due to its convenient flights, easy visa procedures, and reputation as a dynamic cultural and business hub. The added convenience for Japanese tourists is the ease of obtaining visas upon arrival.
Visitors to the stand will be introduced to Azerbaijan’s myriad attractions, including the UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Old City of Baku, the Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape, the Sheki Historic Centre and newly inscribed Khinalig village and ‘Köç Yolu’ Transhumance Route.
